Brian Cloney is the President of Illawarra Catholic Club (Club Central Hurstville and Menai) and has been a Director for the past 14 years.
Throughout his career Brian has always looked to use his skills to help the communities he is part of to grow and thrive. Using the skills he has developed over 30 years in mentoring, training and consulting he has helped countless sporting clubs, local business, charities, churches and schools to cultivate a positive, engaged community.
Brian has held a range of General Management and Sales Management positions with national organisations after starting as a sales representative in Western Australia. He spent 21 years at Hunter Douglas gaining valuable experience in systems, personal development and training. This led to international experience before he formed his own training and development company in 1996.
Over the course of his career, Brian has helped hundreds of companies, engaging thousands of their people to work better, smarter and more profitably. He has built his career pathway around a strong belief that people, systems and communication are the cornerstones of a successful business.
A certified trainer, Brian reached the standard of Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), the highest international accreditation designated by the International Federation of Professional Speakers (IFPS) — achieved by only 7 per cent of speakers world-wide. His experience includes over 24 years of business mentoring and speaking at conferences and he was an active member of the National Speakers Association of Australia (NSAA) for 14 years before leaving to focus on his consulting opportunities fulltime. He also has vast experience as an MC and facilitator at training sessions, large and small, in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
He has Certificate IV Qualifications in Business Administration, OH&S, Quality Assurance and Export Systems and Sales Management.
